Amazon.com might be donating some big bucks to M.A.R.S!  (wouldn’t that be A-mazing!).

The world’s largest online retailer has just launched an exciting new charity program named AmazonSmile  which could mean big things for charities and nonprofits everywhere.

Amazon will allow shoppers to direct 0.5 percent of their purchase totals toward a charitable organization of their choice.  That means no out of pocket money from you because Amazon will then donate the money on behalf of its customers! Basically every physical product is eligible – digital media products (e.g. ebooks, digital music) are not included yet, but might be added soon. Considering how much we all buy from Amazon this can really add up and be super helpful to non-profits everywhere (something to really SMILE about!).

Please show your support in this new and convenient way and sign up on AmazonSmile today!  The registration process is very easy:

1. Go to AmazonSmile via your favorite internet browser and type log-in information of your Amazon.com account to sign-in box. (If you are not an Amazon.com customer yet, consider to become one)
2. Under the sentence “Or pick your own charitable organization”, type “Melbourne Avian Rescue”
3. You’ll see the listing with our full charity name, “Melbourne Avian Rescue Society”. Click on ‘Select’.
