Hey there, MARS! We have been batting back and forth to get my birdie nails done, and to get my husband and I over to see your place. There’s always been something coming up to stop these things from happening.

We are interested in seeing your outdoor cage systems, because we are planning to turn our carport, that has a roof falling down, into a huge pergola with outdoor cages.

Here’s the deal— my husband, Joe has been in construction for years. He was a Habitat for Humanity house leader in Atlanta for several years. He’s done everything that falls under the heading of ‘general contractor’. He has tools, both hand and powered, and would like to help you if you need extra hands. He is disabled, but there are tons of things more that he CAN do than that he CAN’T do. (and is not yet confined to a wheel chair)

I am e-mailing you for him at his request. He is willing to drive over one day next week and help you out, if you need it. Let us know what day you need help — even someone to hold stuff –someone that knows where, why, and what to hold and when — may be a great help to you.

He’s really quite amazing and loves to feel needed. Spends a great deal of his time making toys, treats and jungle perches for our 3 babies. Let me know if we can help. You may be looking at 2 new volunteers if you catch him now, before he finds another project to jump into around this old (100+ yr old) house we are living in, and I start digging to plant another garden.

Thanks for all you do for our feathered companions.
Looking forward to being of service, or if you don’t need the help, to coming over when you have all the upgrades done.

    Freada Dillon (for Joe Dillon)
