Never under estimate the amazing array of good finds that can be uncovered at a rummage sale.
M.A.R.S., for many years now, has been extremely fortunate, to be invited to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church annual January fundraiser sale to pick up the remains from their two day event. The items, to then be incorporated into one of our fundraiser yard sales to benefit our rescue, Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary.
This year was no exception. A number of our volunteers including Linda, Jane, David, our friend Marilyn and I headed down to the Church and loaded up the truck with a lot of leftover items.
Pictures will be posted in an album on our facebook.com/marsparrots page to get you all thinking about our next sale. Hopefuly to be scheduled sometime towards the end of February. Stay tuned for details of this upcoming event to be held here at M.A.R.S..
One more fun note to share. The whole time we were gathering up all the items, Susan was busy in the upstairs kitchen cooking an amazing hearty lunch for all of us to enjoy upon our return. Yummy is all I can say. Hope all who volunteered this day thought so tooooo!!! Did I forget to mention we also had fritatta for breakfast????
