Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary, better known as MARS has just entered into our 17th or is it our 18th year (time truly flies) of continuous operation. AMAZING FACT!!!
Yes, we are still doing EVERYTHING that we originally set out to do as a rescue of exotic birds. However, there is a “ BUT” at this time.
We find we are having to scale back somewhat due to workload demand and our availability of space needed. Last year we re-homed some of our resident Macaws. MARS is very happy to say they are thriving in their new place with an amazing person. She is an all around animal caretaker, trainer, (Dogs and Birds), also does boarding, and has more talents than I can possibly go into here at this time.
We all as always want to send a huge shout out to those who for years have continually followed our Facebook page. To all those who continue to keep an eye out for all our postings and goings on here at the rescue. You mean the world to us. You alone continue in assisting this rescue in providing our continuing ability to help those parrots who reside with us and the parrots and people who will continue to need our help and services.
If you are still reading, and I still have your attention the other issue I want to impart is that we just lost our original landline we used for the rescue since 2008, 321-725-8800 is no longer in service. Fiber optics has taken over and we have fallen through the cracks, not able or unable to upgrade. With that said our rescues E-mail of course is still valid and still the best way to get to us for all information. Not sure at all if we even want to peruse the phone upgrade at this time.
