The stories just go on and on. Every rescue has them in excess. Good ones, really happy ones, sometimes unbearably sad ones. The one thing we all have in common is that it is never ever dull and the work load never ever gets any easier. It requires an unending source of personal energy from all those who continue to commit to being a part of this amazing journey called RESCUE.
What we need from all of you who follow our successes and failures our struggles and our stories is your unending support. Emotional , monetary , volunteerism, technical, promotional, educational, monetary oops think I said that one already, it is an endless list of needs.
You get the idea!!!!!! It is a labor of passion and love and loss and constantly helping people who face all of these situations in their own lives and need all of us who have chosen rescue as our calling to help them in these trying times they face too.
We are here for those avians abandoned and neglected and mistreated and the totally misunderstood ones, the ones like our very own Jakers an Umbrela Cockatoo. We are here for all bird owners who might one day need us and our services.
PLEASE we ask you to be here for all of us in the field of RESCUE so we can continue to help you and all those Exotic avians who need us to be here.

We’d like to urge everyone to support MARS with a regular, recurring contribution and/or membership. We send a small check each month, electronically from our bank. It’s not a large amount, but if we all shared a small amount each month, it could bring LuAnn and her flock a bit more stability. MARS’ work is essential. Your support makes parrots smile.

Hi there,
I live in Broward County Fl, and I currently own a beautiful 10 month old sun conure. I have 2 small children and we’ve had Charlie the parrot since he was a month old. Charlie has bonded with me to the point where he cannot be without me. He constantly wants to be held by me, which is very difficult for me to do. My heart breaks when I cannot hold him, and then he would get angry and bite me and my son too. I have tried so many ways to make it work with Charlie; however, it has not been easy. Please if you can guide me, I don’t want to just give him to anyone. I want to give him to the most loving home possible, which will hopefully be his last home as well. My heart breaks that I need to do this to him. Thank you Tali. Here are some pictures of my Charlie. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_Cc00_51F-aUElPdFpFa01lMUU&usp=sharing

Thank you for such kind words and suggesting this to everyone. There are but a very few who have even thought to do this and it would be so wonderful if more did so.
